We’re on the ground. And yet, quite high up as well. More precisely, at 500 meters above sea level. Surrounded by 80,000 square meters of meadows, we’re situated on a high plateau in Aich, 4 kilometers above Velden. The panoramic view of the Rosental valley and the Karawanken mountains is included. What we love so much: everything is more laid-back here, more relaxed, more authentic. It’s the other side of Velden that you’ll find at the Streklhof, the nature-oriented hideaway in the Wörthersee region—some even call it a place of power :)

About Us

As hosts - now in our fourth generation - we’ve practically been born with a knack for taking care of our guests. We’re a great team. Each of us knows what the other does best. Andreas is our jack-of-all-trades, but his greatest passion is cooking. What a blessing for the Streklhof! Marlies lives for her guests; she’s always there, but never intrusive.

Thanks to her flair for interior design, the Streklhof bears a personal touch—unique and incomparable. What matters most to us, besides our guests’ satisfaction, is enjoying our work. That’s what we live for and love. Especially because we get to work with 23 wonderful people and have the most beloved guests <3

P.S.: And when we’re not busy with our hobby, “the hotel,” we spend our time with the very best things in life: our two sons, Konstantin and Benedikt, along with our four-legged friends.
